Hiring a hikers cabin in the Netherlands

The hikers cabins are equipped as standard for a maximum of four people, with two bunk beds, a table and four chairs, and a combined gas and electric cooker. Depending on the campsite, there may be garden chairs and/or a picnic bench/table on the veranda. Inside the hikers cabin you will find:

• Two sets of bunk beds with mattresses and pillows, i.e. sleeping accommodation for a maximum of four people;
• Dining table with four chairs;
• Double burner gas hob, connected to a gas bottle;
• Two lights and a wall plug socket;
• Dustpan and brush, bucket, mop, broom, washing up sink, 4 clothes hangers, wash line, jerry can and waste bin;
• Mirror.

If you hire a hikers cabin you have all your basic needs for your holiday. You have to bring your own sleeping bags, bed sheets, pillowcases, cooking equipment, dining ware and cutlery. So these are not included in the standard inventory.

Most campsites make a set of pans and cutlery available, sometimes for a small fee. Ask the campsite of your choice exactly what is present, beforehand.
