Camping Meistershof is located in the middle of the beautiful Drenthe Woods. In the high season the children can have a great time playing there in the various playgrounds. But in spring and autumn it is a marvellous place to stay for those seeking peace. Everything has been thought of, to ensure you enjoy a wonderful holiday.
The camping places are comfortable and are spaciously set out. Because the campsite is rich in trees and bushes, pleasant fields have been created where you can enjoy privacy. A number of camping places are equipped with private sanitary facilities, but it is also possible to reserve a private bathroom in the sanitary building. Stunning camping places have been set out for campers on the site, with a wonderful view of the National Park.
If you reserve a seasonal place at the campsite, you can enjoy the attractive campsite, facilities, and environment for the whole season. But Camping Meistershof also offers you something special, you can create your own vegetable garden, so that you can eat your own biological fruit and vegetables in the summer.
We have also thought about people who do not like camping. Camping Meisterhof hires out luxuriously equipped mobile homes and hikers cabins.
The group accommodation at Camping Meistershof is the ideal home base for a fun holiday with friends or family. In the authentic thatch-roofed farmhouse you can enjoy the atmosphere of the living room, in front of the open hearth. The group accommodation units are provided with all conveniences and are fully equipped for enjoying your time together.
Located in an area rich in nature
If you walk out of the campsite, you find yourself in the middle of the beautiful nature of the Dwingelderveld and the Drents Friese Wold National Parks. Here you can enjoy attractive walking and cycling excursions.
Are you a fan of geocaching? Then you are certainly in the right place in Drenthe. More than 100 geocaches are hidden in and around the province, which are all waiting to be found!
Enjoying a comfortable holiday at Camping Meisterhof
All facilities are designed to ensure you have a fine holiday. And that begins right from the start, because Camping Meistershof offers a fetch and deliver service for your caravan, and can help you setting up your awning. The vegetable gardens are located at the edge of the campsite, you can pluck your fresh herbs here for your meal. The sanitary building is luxuriously laid out, amongst other things with private bathrooms, children's sanitary facilities, and underfloor heating throughout the season, heated by solar energy.
There is always something to do for the children. In the large covered sandpit they can play for hours and make sandcastles. Small playgrounds have been created in various camping fields, so that the children can play safely while you sit and read a book in front of the caravan. In the summer there is also a varied entertainment programme. In short, they won't be bored for a moment.
If you would like to swim, you can visit the Spartelplas, (3 km from the campsite), the swimming pool (5 km from the campsite), or the Blauwe Meer (a swimming lake 8 km from the campsite).
